At REAL Consulting, we understand that adaptability and resilience are the cornerstones of success in the ever-evolving hospitality industry. That's why we were thrilled to attend the Global Revenue Forum for the second time, a fundamental event shaping the roadmap to resilience for hoteliers and restaurateurs worldwide.
Hosted simultaneously in London, Lisbon, Milan, and Stockholm on January 30th, 2024, with accessible live streaming, this year's forum brought together industry leaders, innovators, and experts to tackle the pressing questions facing commercial management in today's dynamic landscape.

One of the central themes of the forum was cultivating resilience in the face of market instability. With macroeconomic uncertainty looming large, attendees explored strategies for fostering an agile and collaborative culture within their organizations.
From harnessing technology such as AI to embracing sustainable practices, participants delved into actionable solutions to thrive amidst volatility.
Highlight: Greg Land's Resilience Guide
A highlight of the event was Greg Land's insightful key note on behalf of Amazon Web Services. He is the Global Segment Leader for Accommodation, Lodging, Casino, and Cruise at AWS and scaled light on the key role of resilience in driving business transformation and innovation within the travel and hospitality sector.

According to Land, resilience isn't just about weathering disruptions—it's about seizing the opportunities they present. Citing a survey where 94% of industry leaders emphasized the importance of digital-first transformation post-pandemic, Land underscored the growing significance of technologies like cloud computing and generative AI in driving innovation and unlocking new revenue streams.
New AWS partnership with Booking.com
One exciting development highlighted was Amazon's partnership with Booking.com, leveraging AI to enhance the customer experience and streamline travel planning. This innovative collaboration exemplifies the power of technology to drive meaningful change and adaptation in the entire industry.
75% of travelers want hotels with self-service technology | 82% of guests will choose a restaurant with self-service kiosks over those without | 51% of travelers willing to share biometric data to facilitate the entire journey |
